SHERRY TORBERT

Sherry has over 35 years in ministry, which, in addition to years of counseling, includes co-pastoring a church with her husband Ron for 8 years, serving as the Spiritual Care Coordinator of a mega-church in the Houston area, and founding two non-profit corporations. Her training includes a two-year study in the Elijah House School of Heart Healing, training in Transformational Prayer Ministry (TPM), as well as Prophetic Heart Healing. She has also served as an Audition Coach and Team Coach for Kingdom Builders Academy.
Sherry is very transparent in sharing her own testimony of God’s healing power in her life, overcoming such things as depression, fear, and betrayal. She also understands and shares with others how to persevere through ongoing trials since she has battled an autoimmune disease. She draws on her spiritual gifts of encouragement and wisdom to teach, counsel, comfort, guide, and deliver. While she doesn’t call what she does a “deliverance ministry,” demons must flee when the heart is healed!
Sherry relies strongly on the Holy Spirit’s guidance and partnership in her counseling. She always invites the presence of Jesus into each session and holds space for her clients to hear from Him in their place of pain. She has a unique gift that enables her to quickly identify a person’s main spiritual gift and teaches them how that gift impacts their destiny.
She has authored an 8-lesson inner healing study called “Passion for Purpose” that has reached hundreds of people. Her book “Scripture Prayers for Specific Needs” is a powerful tool for people to stand on God’s Word in their time of need. Her most recent work is a book on spiritual gifts and how they impact all of life. It is entitled “I Am Who HE Says I Am.”
